Sorry for the lack of posts. It has been a crazy busy time right now and I’ve been working hard on getting my new site finished and ready for reveal by the New Year. Hope everyone is having a safe and fabulous holiday season!
Carpe Diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary. - John Keating, Dead Poets Society ( my favorite movie! )
So, I have to share with you something. These images were taken on Friday and Saturday. Friday happens to be the day I attempted to take Dillon on his own photo session. Sure, his session worked but I have to say there is nothing like capturing your kids where they are the most comfortable, at the park, in their backyard, even on the trampoline. I truly believe these are the times you capture your children as they are. ( This is why I choose to do my sessions on location, to make them fun and enjoyable for your kids and to capture them as they truly are! )
Oh how his smile lights up my life and warms my heart.
I don’t get enough time to capture my big man now that he is in school, and so often he just gives me his fake smile or serious look when I pull out the camera. He does a good serious look but for me I love nothing more than his full blown smile. I took him out Friday, just he and I to finally get some images of him having fun, here are a few, and I’m happy to look at them and know, that’s my Dillon with the big ‘ol happy go lucky smile he always wears.
Lately I seem to be asking this about Ollie everyday! the kids is nuts and gets into everything! Just yesterday I came out of the kitchen to find that he had made his way into the bathroom and was then running up and down the hall . . . and he had toilet paper in his hands, he was having a grand time unrolling the roll as he ran.
Last week we were lucky enough to get to go to Dillon’s school for his Thanksgiving day performance. Seriously it was too cute and fun. Can you tell if he was happy to see us there?
I thought this was cute. They all made place mats and wrote what they were thankful for. Some wrote their friends, mom, dad, and I even saw one for kitties. If you check out the blog often you’d know my Dillon loves his country, and loves the american flag. It makes me proud to know he is. It made me smile to go in his class and find what his placemat said, I didn’t care a bit that my name wasn’t on there, he went above that I felt. He was so proud.
The two little ones and I went on a little journey for “photo spots”. My dear friend Kadie was kind enough to let me know about this hip, urban location, and we LOVE it! When taking photos of my little ones, they have to be impressed to get a decent photo, and Calvin was all about the red wall!
Yep, he’s a happy one!
Calvin was VERY conserned that I was going to let Ollie fall of the edge, he had no trust in the fact that I was there and wouldn’t let him fall
